Cool Graphics Video

I stumbled upon this video, and thought it was pretty cool, and rather funny. Just shows what you can do with a little creativity and tech design wherewithal. And it’s got over 5.5 million views!!

Vince Gilligan

Vince Gilligan is an absolute visionary, and has created arguably the greatest television series in history, “Breaking Bad”. It seemed fitting to post this considering the series came to a close just last night, and let me say i.m.o. it was the best series finale I’ve ever seen. I’ve never been a fanatic or super fan of a really anything before, but Breaking Bad had me on the brink

Assignment #3: Short Documentary “Two People, Two Chairs”

The assignment was to create a short biographical documentary on a person of choosing. Originally my idea was to do a documentary Gary Johnson, but landing in an interview with a former Governor and Presidential candidate proved tougher than expected…Who would’ve thought? So anyways, I thought the next best thing would be to do a Documentary Parody on myself, so that’s what I did.

(Watch before reading on…)

Have you watched? Good. Did you enjoy it? Perhaps a little too ridiculous? Well let me explain to the viewer the reasoning behind the film. Assuming that you watched through the credits (if you didn’t, go back because they’re hilarious) you see that I mention some political and mainstream media figures as well as outlets which was my way of trying to fit this piece into a larger world context. The Interviewer is supposed to portray and parody the mainstream media and their tactics of rashness and spin. Over the top? Yes. Funny? Yes. But the real world examples of this are really there. If someone questions the official rhetoric and condemns the President in anyway they’re ostracized and considered a racist. Look it up, the stories are countless. What I was getting at with the psychotropic drug commentary is that these days we have more people dependent on and addicted to prescription pain pills than ever, and these drugs have horrendous side effects. It’s factual that one of the main correlations between all the recent mass murderers in this country is that they take psychotropic drugs, but the msm will never make that connection because they’re not going to blame a drug like Prozac when the first commercial that these “news” outlets cut to is a commercial for Prozac. See where I’m going with this? Then the interviewer in my film comes out and says he has depression so it can only be assumed that he is on one of these drugs which is why he kills himself at the end of the film. If you noticed the “Free Flow of Information Act” reference in the credits, that is a proposed bill to basically restrict who can be a journalist. This bill hides under the guise of being a “reporter Shield” which protects journalists First Amendment rights, but one of it’s supporters Senator Diane Feinstein says about this bill essentially the First Amendment is a special privilege and shouldn’t apply to a “17 year old who drops out of high school, buys a website for 5 dollars, and starts a blog…” You can just see the blatant spin used by this authoritarian. If a law such as this were to be enacted, then I couldn’t be writing what I am right now. Last I checked the First Amendment clearly states, “Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press.” So Feinstein and the rest of “the people’s representatives” need to step back and uphold their oath. Anyways, that’s my spiel, hope you enjoyed the video!

I, Pencil

This is an extremely interesting short film, and one of the most thought provoking I’ve seen in that it makes you think of the world in a very different way than you usually would.
